Chalk Walk in Downtown Hammond

Join the Hammond Downtown Development District, the Hammond Regional Arts Center, North Cypress Fitness, and Eddie's Frozen Custard for a Chalk Walk! Kick off springtime with some culture and creativity on Saturday, March 20th! Participants can chalk their very own sidewalk square, AND receive free swag from the event sponsors. Chalk and fun prizes are included. Check in at the Hammond Regional Arts Center between 9 AM-12 PM. Artists of all ages are welcome. Guidelines: Once you pick up your supplies, you are free to choose any sidewalk space in downtown (please be sure to leave room for pedestrians to walk past). Please social distance your group from other artists. All children/minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We'll provide the chalk. You will need to bring any additional supplies: special chalk, chairs, water, snacks, etc. The DDD will take pictures of all artwork to be shared on our social media pages.
