Nutrition Incentive Programs

The Hammond Farmers and Artisans Market proudly offers three nutrition assistance programs to expand healthy food access for Tangipahoa families with food produced and grown locally by small, family-owned farms.

SNAP Market Program - The market is an official USDA SNAP authorized retailer. SNAP (also known as Food Stamps, EBT, and Louisiana Purchase) can only be used on SNAP eligible items including:  fresh produce, fish, poultry, meat, breads, cereals, non-alcoholic beverages, dairy products, and seeds and plants that produce food.

SNAP MATCH - for every snap dollar you spend, we'll match, dollar for dollar, an  unlimited amount per customer per day through our funding partner Greaux the Good!

Fresh Connect - Healthcare teams enroll food-insecure patients into Fresh Connect. Participants receive a pre-filled debit card that can be used to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs.
