Art in April with Champagne Since 2010
Art Stroll, Outdoor Art Exhibits, Live Music, Champagne Cocktail Tasting & Shopping!
Downtown Hammond will be bursting with art exhibits and bubbly libations during “Art in April with Champagne” -- the new spring-time event in downtown. Featuring more than 40 regional artists’ exhibits, live music, and a creative champagne-cocktail tasting, Art in April is an evening that celebrates Hammond as a Cultural District. Since 2009, Downtown Hammond has been designated a Louisiana Cultural District. This designation allows artists to sell their work without charging state and local taxes. The incentive is hoped to entice more artists and art enthusiasts to come to Hammond for Art in April and throughout the year!

Hot August Night Since 1995
Art Stroll, Wine Tasting, Live Music & Shopping!
August in Southeast Louisiana always proves to be hotter than we think we can handle, but each year locals find cool things to do that help us forget the heat and still pass a good time! For more than a decade, Hot August Night in downtown Hammond has been one of those cool activities that many people from across the region, and across the country, take part in to beat the August heat. Even before downtown Hammond became a certified Louisiana Cultural District, art has been a major focus for Hot August Night. While you’re here, check out the “Hot Spots” – downtown merchant locations – for art exhibits and wine tasting!
