The 15th Annual Hot August Night will include something for everyone!
6 – 9 pm Look for the Hot Spots: - Art Stroll – over 60 art exhibits in Downtown Hammond - sp[OIL]ed - A viral photography campaign in support of protectourcoastline.org at Paris Parker Salon and Spa. Please RSVP at (985) 345-3760. - Wine Tasting – sample various wines in the shops, office & restaurants All wines can be found at Red, White & Brew and the Crescent Bar. - Hot Deals at Stores & Boutiques
On the La Carreta Band Stage: 6:30 pm – SLU Athletics Pep Rally & Lionpawlooza Fan Event in front of Regions Bank - football players signing autographs, pictures with Roomie the Lion and the SLU Spirit Spin Wheel - everyone wins a prize! 7:30 pm - Hammond's Hottest Talent - Singing Competition Finals – Four finalists will compete for the title and the $1,000 prize. 8:30 pm - Live Music by local favorite True Too Life
Other Special Activities: 6 pm – Saints football player signs autographs at Chuck’s Field of Dreams 6 pm – Louisiana Children’s Discovery Cnt. hosts “Lil Bill” Hurricane Reconnaissance Aircraft from the Air National Guard, TJ the DJ and “Pluggie” from the Hammond Fire Department. 6 – 8 pm – SLU Community Music School Violins & fall art school demonstrations at the Hammond Regional Art Cnt 8 pm – Columbia Theatre will screen Beach Blanket Bingo (1965) starring Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello.
